Abbey House Museum

Yesterday, Year 1 visited Abbey House Museum in Leeds. This was part of our topic on old and new toys. When we arrived, we spilt into 2 groups for our workshops. We began by looking at different toys from the past and seeing how they worked. We were even allowed to play with them! These included spinning tops, pop guns, spinning acrobats and teddy bears. They were lots of fun to play with! We then made our own pop up Santa to take home! After lunch, we all walked around the Victorian streets and looked at what shops used to be like. All the children had a wonderful time and their behaviour was excellent. Well done Year 1!
