Attendance incentive

Sunday 14 Oct 2018 13:04pm

On Friday we had our attendance incentive in school for all the children that had come to school everyday for the past 3 weeks. They had a visit from Zoolab which allows children to handle and find out facts about different animals. Year one came back from the incentive incredibly excited and couldn't wait to tell me what animals they had seen. They saw a snake, a giant snail, a gecko, a scorpion and a rat. Lots of the children were very brave and had a go at holding or touching the animals that they were allowed too, although they did remind me that you couldn't touch a scorpion because it had a stinger in its tail! Year one were able to describe how the animals felt and were keen to tell me which was their favourite.
Our attendance in Year one this term has been very good and I hope that this continues next term so the children can enjoy another exciting experience!
