Farm visit

Monday 12 May 2014 18:36pm

On Thursday 8th May we went to Cannon Hall Farm.  When we got there a lady told us all about the animals on the farm and how they look after them.  She also told us how important it was to keep safe and always wash our hands after touching any of the animals. We saw lots of animals and learnt lots of interesting facts. First we learnt that a mother pig is called a sow and she has lots of babies called piglets.   Then we went to look at the animals who produce milk for us to drink such as cows and goats.   When we had finished our tour we went look at the other animals and we even got to stroke some of them. After lunch we had some time to play in the playground which was great fun.  Not only for the children but some of the staff really enjoyed it too!
