Maths Measuring Fun

We have been learning about measures this week. We've enjoyed working on three different challenges. We raced hot wheel cars and measured the distance they travelled, jumped along the long jump mat to see how far we could get and also used blind folds to see if we could order things in length without being able to see them.
We have learnt that you can measure in centimetres and metres.
Did you know that there are 100 centimetres in 1 metre?
Can you try measuring things at home? What things in your house are longer than 1 metre and shorter than 1 metre?
