Once Upon a Time Day

On Monday we launched our new topic, 'Once Upon a Time'. We all dressed up as a fairy tale character for the day.

Mr Johnson started us off with a fantastic drama session, where we learnt different acting techniques and finished with creating and performing our own modern fairy tales. Two groups based their plays on the 'Simpsons', one group did 'Sandal Magna the Fairy Tale' and the last group based their play on 'Xfactor.'
After playtime we had a circle time where we decided what we would wish for if we were to find a magic lamp. Then the afternoon was crammed with fun activities including: Baking gingerbread men, planting our own beanstalks, writing invitations and reading a range of fairy tales.
The day was fabulous and we can't wait to learn lots more about fairy tales!
