World Book Day

We had a great time celebrating World Book Day 2015. Everyone in Y2 made an effort and looked fabulous. In the afternoon we had three wonderful stories: Mr Pearson read 'The Gruffalo', Mrs Jackson read 'Dogger' and Mrs Thompson read 'The pirates next door'. After the stories we paired up with Y4 and listened to a short story - 'Horrid Henry Gets Rich'. Then in pairs Y2/4 we worked together to create a 'Horrid Henry' board game. The 'Chance' cards were based on the story e.g. 'You sold your brother Peter - Go back to the start' or 'You did your homework - move on three spaces'. It was a pleasure to work with everyone today.
