2D Shape Fun!

This week, Year 3 have been learning about 2D shapes. On Monday, the children drew 2D shapes and wrote the properties of them, such as how many corners and how many sides. Yesterday, we learnt how to measure the perimeter of a shape buy using rulers.

Today, we worked with a partner to create our own shapes using art straws. Other equipment we used included scissors, glue and a ruler. Mr Carver was very impressed with our collaboration and communication skills. Everybody worked brilliantly together and created some excellent work. Later this week we are going to learn about angles in different shapes. Ask us on Friday what we have learnt this week!
