A busy week!

Friday 05 Dec 2014 22:09pm

In Literacy this week we have begun learning how to write an adventure story. We have imagined that we are in a helicopter which crashes in the middle of the jungle! We looked at the features of a good adventure story and got lots of good ideas for our writing. Mr Carver is looking forward to reading the children's own stories next week.

In Numeracy we have learnt about time. Did you know there are 86400 seconds in one day? The children looked at how both digital and analogue clocks worked and how we can tell the time from them.

In Science we have continued to learn about human and animal skeletons. The children discovered which animals are vertebrates and which are invertebrates. Many of them we suprised to discover that the biggest invertebrate is the colossal squid. It can grow over 40 feet long!

We have also been busy rehearsing our part in the KS2 Christmas Concert. We are sure you will enjoy our performance!
