A week of great writing

This week, the children in Year 3 have all been working incredibly hard to edit and publish two pieces of writing. At the beginning of the week everybody began publishing their Anglo Saxon information leaflets. It took two days to complete but the end results were excellent. The children all felt very proud to complete their leaflet, after spending a number of weeks researching and writing about different aspects of Anglo Saxon life.

In our topic lesson on Wednesday, we all wrote a draft letter to Pizza Express to say thank you for our workshop. We made sure we explained what we learnt, what we tasted and how we enjoyed eating our pizzas. After the letters were carefully edited, the children then published these letters, using their best handwriting. Mr Carver was very proud of all the children this week, and some fantastic writing is now on display on our new writing wall. Well done everybody!
