Ancient Egyptian Workshop

Today we enjoyed our Ancient Egyptian workshop! A lady called Kelly came to our class from Wakefield Museum. She brought lots of exciting things for us to see and do.

Firstly, we talked about all the different things we knew about Ancient Egypt. Mr Carver was pleased with everything the children had remembered from the lessons we have done. We learnt that one of the first Egyptian explorers was from Wakefield!

After that we joined in with different activities. We looked at real ancient Egyptian artefacts, including a mummified crocodile! The children also designed their own Egyptian God and write their name in hieroglyphics. All the children had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute of the workshop.
