Enjoying Italy!

This half term our topic is Italy. We have already learnt about The Romans this year so we knew a little bit about the country. In lessons this week we have been finding out lots of fantastic facts and studying art.
On Monday we learnt geographical information about Italy. Rome is 1346 miles away from Wakefield. You can fly there in about 3 hours but to walk it would take 440 hours! The children planned a holiday and found some great deals on the internet!
In Art we studied a picture of The Leaning Tower of Pisa with Mrs Skolas. On Thursday the Emerald family group made some delicious pizzas with Mrs Placchino. They smelt amazing!
Today we used computers to reasearch facts about Italy, such as famous people and landscapes. We look forward to learning much more in the coming weeks. All of the children are looking forward to our trip to an Italian restaurant before Christmas.
