Harvest, Mad Science and more
Saturday 18 Oct 2014 16:56pm
Our week started by celebrating Harvest at St Catherine's Church. We sang songs including Conkers and Harvest Samba. We all enjoyed listening to Foundation Stage and Year 1, plus the Key Stage 2 choir perform their songs. There was also poetry readings from Year 5. All of us enjoyed a suprise performance from The Singing Vegetables from Year 2!
On Tuesday we had a Mad Scientist come to our collective worship. He showed us all some fantastic experiments that made us realise how fun science can be. In the afternoon many of our class attendend the 100% attendance craft afternoon organised by Mr Elliott. Lets hope we can all go to the next one!
Also this week we made some superb Roman mosaics using small squares of paper with Mrs Skolas. Mr Carver couldn't belive how good they were when he saw them! In our topic lesson we learnt about Roman soldiers. No wonder they were the strongest army in the world with all of that armour!
Alex and Lauren both collected a special metions certificate this week. Alex for some excellent independent writing and Lauren for using great sentence openers and connectives in her work. Well done to both of you.
