Milk bottle igloos!

Today, Year 3 and 4 joined together to launch our new topic - The Frozen Land. Over the past few weeks, the children and adults have been collecting as many milk bottles as they can. So, we took them into the hall to see if we could use them to create igloos big enough for a small child to fit in!

The children mixed together and worked in 4 different groups. Their task was to work collaboratively to make the most realistic igloo. It was a tough challenge but all of the children worked brilliantly together to make their models. Unfortunately, we didn't get any completed models, but the children had a great time. They all now realise how difficult it would be for an Inuit to make one from snow in the freezing temperatures.
