Our Roman Workshop
Thursday 25 Sep 2014 23:00pm
Yesterday we enjoyed our Roman workshop from Wakefield museum. The children enjoyed listening to a Roman story and joined in by performing actions and adding sound effects. We also answered lots of questions. Our visitor was called Louise and she made the story seem real by bringing in a Roman shield, a helmet and sandals! All of the children listened carefully and had lots of fun.
After the story we looked at real Roman artefacts and we talked about what we thought they were. The artefacts included an oil lamp, a key and a musical instrument. It was amazing to look and touch things that the Romans used! Wakefield Museum have asked us to blog about our morning so watch this space!
