Stained Glass Windows

Thursday 09 Feb 2017 18:41pm

Over the past 6 weeks, we have all really enjoyed learning about the Anglo Saxons. In our final art and design lesson, the children made their own stained glass windows just like people did in Anglo Saxon times. Firstly, the children had to make a rectangular window frame from strips of black paper. Once they had completed this, they then had to create their window pane design. When this had been finished, the exciting part began. Choosing different colours of tissue paper, this was cut and glued to finish the window. They now look beautiful in the window of our classroom. Well done everybody!
