Today, we have been making Viking helmets with Mrs Skolas in Design Technology. This follows on from the wonderful Viking shields we made over the last two lessons. Firstly, the children were given strips of silver card and used one piece to measure the circumference of their heads. They then had to create the shape of the helmet by attaching more strips of card in a specific way. All of the class followed instructions well, and as you can see, created excellent helmets. After everyone had finished, the class wore their helmets and did their best impressions of angry Viking warriors! Some of our key learning habits such as collaboration and creativity were used throughout the lesson. We hope to use our shields and helmets for our music concert next half term. Watch this space for further details!
