What a teriffic week!

Friday 04 Nov 2016 19:04pm

Today, Year 3 were awarded Class of the Week and it has fully deserved. The children have worked extremely hard this week and largely, their behaviour has been excellent. In English, we have been learning about The Mousehole Cat and have written about the setting and the characters. In Maths, we have been working on our multiplication skills by drawing arrays, writing number sequences and sorting multiplication facts into Venn diagrams.

Our topic this half term is Charles Waterton. In our lesson with Miss Dimmock, we looked at some facts about his life and why he was such an important person. The children created posters to show these. In Art, we drew a portrait of him, and many of these wonderful drawings are now on display. Everyone is looking forward to our Charles Waterton workshop on Monday. Also this week, we have been thinking about keeping safe on Bonfire Night by creating a safety poster. Finally, everybody used pastels to create colourful firework pictures.

Well done everybody! Keep safe if you are going to a bonfire this weekend. Don't forget to learn your new spellings for Tuesday!
