Co-ordinating our game

This week we have been looking at co-ordinates and made up a little phrase to remind us how to use a Cartesian grid.....go along the rad and up the path.  Once we understood how to plot a point, we drew shapes and described them to our partners, then played battleships - a game which required real skill as we had 4, 3, 2 and 1 man ships to attack.  It was just like being in the blockade in WWII!

We have also continued to make our world war two helmets and patchwork quilts and we are busy writing a newspaper article about the Blitz.  We are excited that we have invited parents into school on Thursday, 17th March and we do hope that many of you will be able to spare a few minutes as we are keen to share our work.
