Coordinating and sound proofing

Thursday 10 Mar 2016 13:57pm

This week we have investigated sound proofing during our science lessons.  We understand that ear defenders and barriers are used to block out unpleasant or irritating sounds and that different materials are used with varying degrees of effectiveness.  We had a great time trying to decide whether polystyrene, tin foil, cotton wool or bubble wrap was the most efficient.  Perhaps this will be something to take home in the future when music becomes even more of a priority to us as teenagers and it might not be to our family's taste!

Coordination was the name of the game in PE.  Mr Pearson encouraged us to use all our limbs and even other body parts to try to keep a balloon aloft for as long as possible.  It was hilarious!  Take a look at the photos......
