Ear Gongs and Big Ideas
Tuesday 13 Feb 2018 16:25pm
We have had a busy half term. Our topic is World War Two and we have enjoyed learning about rationing, the Home Front, the Blitz and evacuation. Most of us have a bit more respect for the War generations as we think we have much to thank them for. We will continue with the topic after the half term break and will be busy making helmets for air raid wardens, so donations of old newspapers will be greatly appreciated.
In Science lessons, our exploration of sound and how it is made continues. We have made ear gongs and discovered through experimentation that sound travels more efficiently through solids than gases. Ask us to explain it to you!
Each week, we are enjoying a Big Idea and honing our problem solving and team work skills. In the last few weeks, we have decoded a pattern and competed to build a road way for a toy car. Enjoy the photos.
Mrs Heaton, Mr Dixon and I wish everyone a happy half term holiday.
