Pizza, pop and much excitement
Friday 16 Oct 2015 16:09pm
This week was generally a standard week with the full curriculum being covered, though the children also had to contend with their first tests in Year 4. They are all to be commended for the mature and sensible way that they conducted themselves. Stickability is one of our 10 key learning behaviours and they can all be proud as they leave school tonight that they gave of their best and have shown what they have already mastered and where they are at the work in progress stage.
Fortunately, for most of the children in the class, there was a treat on Friday afternoon when we hosted a pop and pizza party for the children who had had 100% attendance over a three week period. Many brought in party clothes and there was much excitement. A great time was had by all who attended. Those who had been ill in the period were naturally disappointed, but enjoyed the chance to use our IT equipment in the Year 5 classroom with Mr Smith.
Of course, the week ended with lots of smiles and a relaxed and happy Golden Time.
Homework this week is about a home for a hedgehog. Some children might make a model, others might become estate agents and use persuasive language to sell one and some might plan a desirable new build. Whichever they choose, I hope your children have fun doing it and can show what they have learned as part of our 'Habitats and Living Things' science topic.
Enjoy the weekend.
