Preying on good attendance
Monday 10 Oct 2016 05:59am
Congratulations are due to Year 4 this week as we won the attendance competition not just for one week but for two consecutive weeks. SAM the dog almost needs to have his own place on the register! The result is especially pleasing as children who come to school every day have a chance to make progress in lessons as they follow on from one to the next. It is wonderful to watch as their confidence grows.
The attendance incentive window ended on Friday and, thanks to our fantastic results, 24 children were able to spend an hour learning all about birds of prey. Have a look at the pictures taken by Mr Dixon.
Friday was also a special day as we walked with the rest of the school to a special service at St Catherine's Church to celebrate Harvest time. Most of the children were well behaved and followed instructions. Special mention should go to Abu Bakar who was Mrs Sketchley's partner and did a great job of leading the class when we crossed the roads and waiting in the specified place. His maturity in this role was super to see.
Thanks to all the mums and dads who joined us in Church and to every family who made a donation to the food bank. Your community spirit is second to none.
