Sounding off

There are days when it is a real delight to be a teacher.  A day when your class is not doing the ordinary day to day activity.  The sort of day when you see the understanding and children's delight in a discovery.  These light bulb moments are the ones that make it all worthwhile.  We had one of those days in Year 4 this week when several children demonstrated that they had understood how a sound is made by designing and making their own musical instruments and then explaining how the instrument worked.
