The Dairy of Class 4 - yes the dairy!
Friday 02 Oct 2015 15:57pm
Another busy week even though it only ran for four days.
When we arrived on Tuesday, there was a massive inflatable classroom in the car park. Yes, the Arla Roadshow had come to Agbrigg. Year 4 were the lucky ones and went first. We learned all about a cow's stomachs - they have 4 - and why they are called ruminants - they regurgitate their food - and cow pats which made everyone laugh ( and was a great phonics check! ). We learned about food groups, which foods are made from milk and just how much water a cow drinks every single day. It was a fun way of making our science topic about living things come to life.
In the afternoon, we went swimming but without SAM as our attendance was only 68% last week.
On Wednesday, we worked as designers again and began to make our Egyptian death masks. We'll be using papier mache next week and then decorating them, so keep reading our blog to see how they come along.
We used skills as historians on Thursday and made a timeline of all the things that happened in Ancient Egypt.
Finally, we celebrated Eid, with a party on Friday. Much fun was had by all as we played party games and danced gangnam style.
Have a lovely weekend!
