YAD KOOB DLROW - WORLD BOOK DAY
Thursday 02 Mar 2017 12:57pm
Today the children in Y4 paired up with the Nursery children for a World Book Day extravaganza.
In the morning we shared the story of Esio Trot and then decorated our own tortoises working in pairs. The Year 4 children had tortoises double the size of the nursery children's just like Mr Hoppy helping Mrs Silver with Alfie!
In the afternoon, we reconvened and shared a story called The Very Hungry Caterpillar with Mrs Redmond. Then we decorated our own butterflies and made shadow puppets using glue, sticks and other craft materials.
Thank you to everyone who supported World Book Day today. The staff in Nursery made a point of thanking every single child in our class for being so very kind. The children were a credit to themselves and to their families. Enjoy spending those book tokens! I shall look forward to hearing about the books you have shared.
