Angles, angles everywhere!

On Tuesday morning, we learnt how to measure large angles in our playground. On Monday we measured angles on paper using a protractor, but Mr Smith challenged us to measure angles on the trim trail. However, it was impossible to measure them using a protractor. We then went in to class and discussed ways we could measure these larger ones. Mr Smith showed us how to make an angle measurer using card and a split pin.

We then took these out side and used them to measure all the different angles. Right angles were banned as the playground has loads of them. Instead, we had to find acute and obtuse angles. We managed to find lots of different angles, including one that was very small. We had a great time.
