Arla workshop and Eid party!

On Tuesday 29th September a massive inflatable classroom was spotted in the school car park. At 1pm, year 5 made their way to the car park. When they got there, one of the teachers split them in to 2 teams. One group played with a maze that was showing a cow and it's 4 stomachs. The cow eats its food 4 times before fully digesting it. The other group were finding out what and how much cows drink, how much they sleep and how much milk they produce. After swapping and trying the other activity, the groups moved on.
Next, one group learnt about skimmed, semi skimmed and full fat milk whilst the other group learnt about dairy products and when we might use them. Then one group played a game with a skeleton to see if they could put the bones back together. At that time, the other group did a blindfold taste test on the different types of milk. They found it very difficult to tell which was which. Then every child received a sticker and they went back to class.
On Friday, the children celebrated Eid with our class Eid party. We played games such as pass the parcel, musical statues and sleeping lions, then we ate lots of food and went home feeling very satisfied!
