During the last few weeks, Year 5 have been investigating the force of gravity.
First, we investigated Galileo's theory of gravity using paper. We discovered that an object falls more slowly when it has a larger surface area and more air resistance. To deepen our understanding, we tested out our learning by creating parachutes. We investigated how our parachutes worked, then we made predictions of how we could improve the performance of our parachutes. Today, we compared our parachutes to see if our predictions were correct.
