Macbeth- play in a day

Sunday 26 Mar 2017 23:00pm

After watching Year 6 perform their play in a day on Friday, we were very excited to be having a go ourselves. Today was the day! We followed in their footsteps by putting on the play of Macbeth, one we have been studying in English lessons. Chris, from Konflux theatre group, met us in the hall at 9am. He started off with some dramatic warm up games. One of which was the accuser game. We had to point at someone and accuse them of doing something by saying "It's your fault because..." It was quite difficult to think of things on the spot, but we all had a go, even Mr Smith.

Then Chris talked us through the story of Macbeth and we picked the different parts out. We worked really hard all day and by the end we performed to the rest of Key Stage 2. The teachers commented on how well we had done, and how different the 2 plays (both Macbeth) were. Mrs Sennett suggested that some of the children in our class might end up on stage one day, just like Mr Smith!
