Marie Curie Mini Pots of Care Project

Tuesday 01 Apr 2014 23:00pm

As a whole school, we took part in the Marie Curie Mini Pots of Care Project again this year. From October through to March we planted and took care of a daffodil bulb each. When they had grown, we took them home and brought in a donation for the Cancer Care Charity. As a class we raised £73.20 for our daffodils.

Although we were very pleased with the amount of money we had raised, we wanted to try and raise even more money for such a good cause. After lots of discussion, we decided to make and decorated our own buns and have a bun sale after school.

On Friday 14th March we sold 265 buns to the rest of the school and made £132.60. Altogether we sent a cheque to Marie Curie Cancer Care for £205.80. We were very proud of ourselves!
