New Topic - Apprentice 'You're Hired!'

Today Year 5 and Year 6 had a launch day for our new topic Apprentice - 'You're Hired!'  First we watched a short clip about Alan Sugar's Young Apprentice.  Then we had a go at writing our own CVs.  We then went down to the hall where we were given our task.  Each class has been split into small teams, and assigned an important role.  Each team has been given £5 to use to try and design and make a product to sell to the children, parents and staff of Sandal Magna Community Academy in order to make a profit.  It is hoped that together we can make a profit of at least £109 so we can hire a Spacedome bouncy castle for a morning.

We all really enjoyed today, especially seeing Miss Benning, Mrs Thompson and Miss Abernethy all looking very different and smart dressed in their business wear.  We can't wait to dress smartly ourselves and pitch our business ideas to them on Friday in the boardroom!
