Sam the dog comes to visit

For the first time this academic year, Sam the Dog has been to Year 5. This is because we had the best attendance in school last week. He joined us for all sorts of exciting activities. We have been working hard in English, writing letters and learning all about subordinate conjunctions (do you know what they are?). If you do, let Mr Smith know and he might give you a treat!

In Maths, the children have been converting miles to KM. It's quite a difficult concept and some children kept getting it the wrong way around. We might need some more practice on that one!

The children have been baking and creating some interesting art work. You can see a picture of Sam having a go. Do you know what it is called? If you do, let Mrs Ward know and there might be a prize! (parents only!) Sam also found out a lot about fairtrade products and why they are so important!
