Sam the Dog loves it in Year 5!

Thursday 16 Jun 2016 23:00pm

Sam the dog had such a good time in Year 5 last week, that he decided to visit again (that's 3 weeks in a row!). Year 5 were so close to 100% last week so Sam came back. We had another busy week, with lots of fun activities. On the Friday of the previous week, Sam joined us for the Queen's 90th birthday celebration. We all went into the playground and had a huge street party! Sam enjoyed his time very much and loved his cheese sandwich!

On Monday, Sam got to go to the kitchen area with Mrs Clifton, to bake. The class were making spring onion bread. The whole corridor smelt delicious! He very much enjoyed eating his loaf, but it was gone in seconds!

On Tuesday, Sam found out all about our Olympic themed enterprise event. The children are planning their own sporting activity for the younger children in school. They will have to pitch their idea to a panel of experts who will decide which activity they will be allowed to do. They will also be designing a t-shirt prise for the winner of their activity.

Later on in the week, Sam took part in a Fitbods session. In this session, Mr Smith was teaching the children about the skills of dribbling in Basketball. Sam tried to have a go, but the ball hit him in the face! It's been another busy week in Mr Smith's class. Sam hopes he is back here for a 4th week next week!
