Silence in Year 5
Friday 13 May 2016 13:25pm
It has been a very busy week at Sandal Magna. The Year 6 children have been working very hard in their national tests, so we haven't had our usual English and Maths sets. We have had to work very quietly to make sure that we did not disturb them and so they could have no distractions.
During our topic work on rivers, we have been working on a research project based on different rivers around the world. Some children worked on the River Nile, some on the River Amazon and some looked closer to home, looking and the Calder and the Ouse. We then created a powerpoint presentation about the features of the rivers and the people who relay on the river for their livelihood.
At the end of the week, and the start of next week, we will be sharing our presentations with the class. Mr Smith says he will take some photos of us presenting the research project and add them to this post.
