Today both Year 5 and Year 6 went to the Tropical Butterfly House in Sheffield for our recent topic, 'Under the Canopy.'
There were so many different animals to see, but Year 5's favourite animal had to be the Meerkats. We loved watching them! We also really enjoyed it in the Tropical Butterfly House. It was so hot and humid in there (around 32 degrees), just like a rainforest. Inside we saw lots of animals, including butterflies, snakes, stick insects, cockroaches, frogs and bats. Tony our guide told us lots of interesting facts about these animals, and some of us even got to hold a few of them.
What a great day! We would definitely recommend this trip to others.
