Year 5/6 Football Tournament

On Wednesday after school, some Year 5 and 6 children went to Wakefield Football Centre to play in a tournament against 4 other local schools.  Although we came 4th overall, Miss Benning and Mr Carver were extremely proud of us as we played really well as a team.  It took us a little while to get warmed up and used to the rules, but we did score in every match, and by the final game we won 5 goals to 1.  We all played to the best of our ability, but Mr Pearson, who hosted the tournament, gave 'Man of the Match' to Viliam in Year 6 for his fantastic skills and scoring a high number of goals for the team.  Miss Benning and Mr Carver awarded their 'Man of the Match' to Drood in Year 5 for being a good, solid player, for fair play and never giving up.  Well done Team Year 5/6!
