Year 5's National Remembrance Assembly

To commemorate the 100th anniversary (centenary) of the First World War, on Monday 10th November at 2.30pm, Year 5 took part in Discovery Education’s live 30 minute national school assembly to raise awareness of 'Why we Remember?' The assembly was presented live from the Tower of London by Tim Vincent and Melissa Nathoo, and broadcast across the UK, Canada, the United States of America and Europe. The assembly was designed to engage teachers and children in schools across the UK to help them understand the importance of First World War Remembrance Day.
