Citizenship ceremony

Last week, Year 6 were given the opportunity to go on the train and visit Wakefield Town Hall to see local people gain British Citizen status. We were met by the Deputy Lord Left Lieutenant who represents the Government and The Queen. He was very kind and let us all try his hat on and named us his deputies for the day! It was such a special moment to see 19 people become British Citizens and we enjoyed it immensely.  It was a morning filled with singing the national anthem, clapping and big smiles.

Year 6, you were a credit to the school and your behaviour was impeccable as always! Well Done!
