My Violin Exam
Thursday 12 Mar 2015 10:48am
On Tuesday 10th March, the rest of Year 5 and 6 children went on a trip to the Tropical Butterfly House in Sheffield but I couldn't go because I had a violin exam. The examiner I had was called Stephen Moore. I went with: My mum, younger brother William and my youngest brother Joel.
First, I had to play three pieces: German Dance, The Boat to Inverie and Pensylvania 6-5000. Then I had to do some sight reading, this means I had to play a piece of music I've never played before. After that, I had to do some oral work, this includes: tapping the rhythm of the song, copying some notes, finding a change and knowing the texture of the music. I had to play scales on G,D, E and A. I recognised one mistake in E Minor. Overall I think I did really well - I think I passed!
