Race For Life

June 24th was the day we took part in The Race At Your Place, which is the schools version of The Race For Life. We asked people we know to sponsor us to raise money for Cancer Research.Straight after dinner and register we Got changed into our PE kits (including Miss Grindle and Mrs Placchino) and went onto the playground for a warm-up routine led by Mr Smith. Once our muscles were warmed up enough we all went onto the field for the run proper. First of all Key Stage 1 did their run while we cheered them on, then it was our turn. Years 3,4,5 & 6 lined up behind our pacemaker, Mr Smith and we were off. It was great to get running because it had been raining and we were all a bit wet.
After the race we were all given medals for taking part and this is our class showing them off.
