Victorian Day - 9th October

Wednesday 04 Oct 2017 14:02pm

Year 6 will be participating in a Victorian themed day on Monday 9th October. All Year 6 have been invited to dress in Victorian style clothing and will take part in Victorian style lessons.
 Girls

White blouse

An ankle length dark coloured skirt – no pattern

Pinafore

Thick black tights or leggings underneath

A shawl

                          A mop hat

Hair tied back in a bun

Boys

White shirt

Dark coloured smart trousers or tailored shorts

Waistcoat

Plain long socks (Grey/navy/black or white)

As it is a different day to the usual timetable, we are asking that the Year 5 and 6 children wait in the KS1 playground when the bell rings. We will expect to see the classes lined up in separate boys’ and girls’ line. They must wait to be collected by their class teacher as this is what Victorian children would have had to do. Year 5 should have their separate boys’ line and girls’ line on the left hand side of the gate near Mrs Thompson’s classroom. Year 6 should have a girls’ and boys’ line outside the fire exit near Mrs Thompson’s classroom. Once in the classroom they need to hang their belongings up and stand behind their chairs in silence until asked to sit down.

We will blog about our exciting day once we return to 2017!
